The team at the Carob Tree Project has decades of experience in community development projects working on projects across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The team specialises in developing community development strategies, implementing intercultural and interfaith projects.

Some of the highlights include:


  • Developed for the Three Faiths Forum its Shared Futures School Programme
  • Worked with the US State Department on delivering Hours Against Hate 2012: a programme to combat discrimination and hate crime through volunteer programmes
  • Partnering with KAICIID on a major Transatlantic Combatting Urban Violence Conference
  • Ran and developed the JDC Buncher Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue Programme
  • Advised and offered speakers to BBC 1’s the Big Questions, BBC 2's The Slum and the BBC’s Religion and Ethics Conference and website.Al
  • Developing and ran the Mayor’s Interfaith Conference in 2011 .
  • Advised LOCOG and London 2012 Olympics on faith matters issues.
  • Developed two International Lambeth Conferences on Social Action and Social Innovation.
  • Developed a number of heritage schemes, exhibits and funds for the United Synagogue
  • Helped develop the concept for the Big Iftar
  • Advised DCLG on Together in the Community Grants Programme
  • Advised a number of Secretary of States for Education on issues of school development, Governance and faith schooling
  • Worked with McKinseys and the Mayor of London to provide business support for over 500 faith organisations across London
